The original book is a rarely seen fictional work by Australian Short Sunderland pilot veteran and later author, translated soon after publication into French. English language details here.

Somewhat surprising, to see a Royal Australian Air Force story appear in that market! However, the anonymous cover art does a good job of the role of the Sunderland as an Atlantic convoy escort.
