Not Defiant

Today’s Poster is for the very-B movie Ronald Reagan Hollywood British bandwagon, from the film ‘International Squadron’.

International-Squadron-1941

The poster features a squadron of British fighters – Boulton Paul Defiants, and streight lifted from the famous (I think) ‘Life’ magazine shots of 264 Squadron when they were at Kirton in Lindsay, as seen below.

Some of the ‘highlights’ of this potboiler below, and note ‘International Squadron’ featured exactly no Boulton Paul Defiants at all.

A more accurate film featuring Reagan is the ‘Recognition of the Japanese Zero’ as featured here.

the poster artist went to the trouble of changing the radio/squadron codes on aircraft in the two duplicated vic formations. (sorry about waaaay late post…i just discovered this site and am enjoying it very much)
